FAQs
What You Need to Know
Have questions about your upcoming paving project? We’re here to help. Below are answers to some of the most common questions we receive about our asphalt, concrete, interlock, and seasonal services.
1. How long does a typical driveway paving project take?
Most residential driveway projects are completed within 1–2 days, depending on the size, weather conditions, and preparation required.
2. How long should I wait before using my new asphalt driveway?
We recommend waiting at least 24 hours before walking on your new asphalt driveway and 5-7 days before driving on it. Asphalt continues to cure over time, so it’s best to avoid sharp points leaning on the asphalt in the first week (example: bike kick stands, walking with pointed footwear).
3. What do I need to do to prepare for asphalt?
Before your project begins, we ask that you:
- Clear the area of vehicles, trailers, and obstacles
- Remove any items near the driveway (basketball nets, planters, etc.)
- Ensure easy access to the work area
Our team will handle the rest, including proper grading and base preparation to ensure a strong, long-lasting surface.
4. What is the best time of year to pave my driveway?
The best time for asphalt paving is during the warmer months, typically from late spring to early fall. Asphalt needs warm temperatures to properly install and compact, which helps ensure a smooth, durable finish.
5. What areas do you service?
We proudly serve areas of Eastern Ontario, providing residential and commercial asphalt paving services throughout the region. If you’re unsure whether you’re within our service area, feel free to reach out — we’re happy to help.
